March 25 would have been Flannery O’Connor’s 91st birthday and it’s also the launch day for The Book of Hulga, a poetry book that looks at O’Connor’s life using the lens of one of her most memorable characters, Hulga Hopewell from “Good Country People.” The party starts at 7 PM and is at Arts + Literature Laboratory on 2021 Winnebago St., Madison, WI, There will be live music, refreshments, temporary tattoos, and more. It’s free and open to the public.
